OakShed Care is a social care agency that offers domiciliary care services in our local community. We are based in Truro, Cornwall and we provide services to Mid and West  Cornwall.
Our passion is to provide care that is tailor-made to meet the needs of the individual in the comfort of their own home. We want to ensure that our service users live life to their full potential.
We strive to enrich the lives of our service users through assistance with everyday tasks, meaningful involvement with their community, hobbies and other areas of interest ensuring they maintain their independence and lifestyle, give them choices and promote their health and wellbeing. We work together with the service user to formulate a care plan based on their identified needs.

The safety of our service users is of paramount importance to us, we take steps to ensure that our service users are safeguarded from harm and potential harm. We conduct risk assessments regularly to identify potential risks and put measures in place to mitigate against these risks.

We respect the inherent worth and dignity of the service user, and thus, treat each service user with respect, upholding the principles of tolerance and being non-judgemental. We greatly cherish diversity and as such, accept our service users as they are regardless of race, gender, age, religion or sexual orientation. We see the person before the problem, and as a result our service users receive the best care without discrimination.

Our team provides support to service users from 18 and above. This includes people with physical disabilities, dementia and mental health problems. We focus on the provision of care that empowers the service users to make choices and live fulfilled lives according to how they want to. We have well trained and experienced staff that are highly professional and offer proficient competent services for effective and efficient support. Our staff demonstrate empathy when communicating with service users to gain insight and the confidence of the service users, as well as be able to meet their needs. All our staff go through robust recruitment process including employment references, criminal record checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and they are in continuous training to uphold high standards of care and to meet unique service user’s needs.
